Collaboration to raise awareness of lucrative job opportunities to build the next generation of American submarines

BRYAN/COLLEGE STATION, Texas – BlueForge Alliance (BFA), the nonprofit integrator for the U.S. Navy’s Submarine Industrial Base (SIB), today announced an official sponsorship of the United States Naval Academy’s football team through the Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA). BFA will use the collaboration to raise awareness of its BuildSubmarines.com initiative, which aims to build the urgent workforce needed to bolster the nation’s submarine manufacturing base.

The U.S. Navy has embarked on a once-in-a-generation journey to recapitalize its submarine force, with the goal of producing one Columbia-class and two Virginia-class submarines each year for the foreseeable future. BFA operates BuildSubmarines.com, which serves as the central hub to find the tens of thousands of workers needed to support this goal. The site connects individuals seeking stable, sustaining jobs rooted in purpose and innovation with SIB suppliers across the nation supporting the Navy’s mission.

“Our collaboration with NAAA is a perfect match because we are both deeply invested in supporting the U.S. Navy and its personnel,” said Kiley Wren, co-founder and co-chief executive of BFA. “Whether you’re a veteran, a skilled tradesperson or an active service member eventually transitioning to the civilian workforce, BuildSubmarines.com serves as a one-stop shop for those in search of a new career. As fans attend home games and support the Midshipmen from around the world, we look forward to introducing them to the opportunities available to be involved in such an important mission to bolster the U.S. Navy.”

Under the agreement, the BuildSubmarines.com website will be promoted through print ads, videoboard presentations, radio broadcast announcements, digital banner advertisements and more throughout all home games during the Navy football season. In addition, BFA will be the presenting game day sponsor for the Navy vs. the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) football game on Veterans Day, Saturday, Nov. 11.

“This sponsorship with NAAA comes at the perfect time, as we are gearing up for robust enhancements to BuildSubmarines.com that will soon go live,” said Rob Gorham, co-founder and co-chief executive at BFA. “It will be even easier to connect job and training candidates with SIB employers and collectively meet the urgent workforce need. As we root on the Midshipmen, we aim to support their service by growing the nation’s manufacturing industry.”
