BlueForge Alliance Relaunches BuildSubmarines.com in Partnership with ZipRecruiter
Newly expanded site to address urgent workforce needed to build the U.S. Navy’s next-generation submarines
BRYAN/COLLEGE STATION, Texas – BlueForge Alliance today announced the relaunch of BuildSubmarines.com, the central hub to recruit thousands of workers to build and sustain the next generation of U.S. Navy submarines. The newly enhanced site now integrates ZipRecruiter, a leading online employment marketplace, to better connect interested candidates with the Navy’s Submarine Industrial Base and its more than 15,000 suppliers ready to fill tens of thousands of stable, sustaining jobs rooted in the American spirit of innovation.
“The U.S. Navy has embarked upon a once-in-a-generation effort to recapitalize its submarine force structure,” said Kiley Wren, co-founder and co-chief executive at BFA. “BuildSubmarines.com is on the front lines addressing the urgent workforce needs to meet the Navy’s goals, and we’ve made good progress. The new version of the site, with the addition of a powerhouse like ZipRecruiter, significantly improves the user interface to connect workforce candidates with suppliers across the country.”
BuildSubmarines.com introduces eager Americans to the Navy’s goal, which is to add three nuclear-powered submarines – one Columbia-Class and two Virginia-Class – to its fleet each year for the foreseeable future. Visitors can learn more about the career opportunities available through numerous resources and education materials and gain vital leads on local employment and training opportunities. Meanwhile, the SIB and its suppliers can actively liaise with interested workforce candidates.
The site’s job portal will be powered by ZipRecruiter, bringing an enhanced experience that job seekers and employers have come to expect from the #1 rated job site. The new job board is fully optimized and allows candidates to create personal profiles to highlight their skills for potential employers. It also gives them up-to-the-moment access to what will be tens of thousands of available specialized opportunities. Additionally, the integration provides critical SIB suppliers around the country weekly access to over 12M job seekers from ZipRecruiter’s marketplace1, as well as the ability to search for eligible candidates to fulfill critical roles.
“Job seekers trust us as a platform to find meaningful work, and employers know us as a partner who can help them find quality candidates fast – no matter how specialized or critical a role may be,” said Matt Plummer, ZipRecruiter Senior Vice President, Product Strategy & Enterprise Solutions. “Matching millions of highly skilled job seekers to the right opportunities is work we take pride in. That work takes on an even more important meaning when we have the opportunity to put our industry-leading matching technology to work supporting such a significant hiring initiative.”
In addition to the enhanced job seeker and employer capabilities powered by ZipRecruiter and in combination with a new promotional campaign, BuildSubmarines.com carries a new theme: “We Build Giants.” Site visitors will see this carried out via new graphics, imagery, and resources showcasing how it takes a giant to build one.
“Building a next-generation submarine is a colossal feat and takes a tradesperson equal in stature, someone who seeks to become as powerful as the undersea platform they’re creating,” said Rob Gorham, co-founder and co-chief executive of BFA. “The ‘We Build Giants’ campaign perfectly captures that spirit. These aren’t simply jobs. They’re life-long, ‘gigantic’ careers in critical manufacturing trades open to workers of every age, race, gender, experience level, and more. Each job is built on character, stability, and the promise of training, skills, benefits, experience, and growth extending well into the future.”
